Colorado Escapee Sought in Shooting of New Mexico Officer
Authorities say that Buck pulled out a gun and fired multiple shots at the officer identified as Officer Joseph Barreto, hitting him. Police say Ofc. Barreto returned fire and radioed for assistance. Both Buck and Hernandez ran from the scene.

California Felon Charged with Shooting NM Officers
One of the Albuquerque officers is in critical condition after being shot at the base of his neck. Three other officers are recovering from various injuries from the incident, which began with an attempted robbery call.

3 NM Officers Shot, One Critically Wounded During Robbery Response
Albuquerque PD says two suspects are in custody related to the incident at a Dutch Bros Coffee. The first suspect was wounded and taken into custody shortly after the shooting unfolded. At 12:34 p.m., APD announced via Twitter a second suspect was taken into custody.

Man Gets 30 Years for Killing Tribal Officer
In 2019, Cleveland pleaded guilty to second-degree murder, which carried a maximum penalty of life in prison. He also pleaded guilty to violating the conditions of his supervised release in a previous case in which he forced his way into a home on the Navajo Nation armed with a baseball bat and assaulted a woman in 2012.

NM Officer Killed in Crash with Semi Truck
An initial investigation indicated 42-year-old Cpl. Thomas Wade Frazier was traveling north on U.S. 285 around 10:45 a.m. in a pickup truck which crashed into the rear of the semitrailer.
