2 Killed After DWI Suspect Flees Officers, Plows into Austin Festival Crowd
Two were killed and 23 injured Wednesday night after a DWI suspect reportedly fled police and plowed into a crowd of people in downtown Austin, Texas, waiting outside of a club for a South by Southwest festival concert. The driver has been charged with two counts of capital murder.

Retired Houston Officer Killed in Galveston Motorcycle Accident
Dana Tweedie, 61, and Linda Tweedie, 52, were driving along Seawall Boulevard at 7:40 p.m. when 19-year-old Callie Inman of Dayton ran into their motorcycle as she pulled out of a Valero parking lot at 69th Street and Seawall Boulevard, police said.

“Why the f--- did you stop me?'” Bieber asked Officer Fulgencio Medina, who cornered him as he was peeling down Pine Tree Drive at 55 to 60 mph in a yellow Lamborghini, according to police report. The speed limit on that stretch of residential street is 30.

The sheriff's office reports the 46-year-old deputy and 15-year veteran of the department was reported "passed out at the wheel" of his patrol car by a passerby, who also stated they were unable to wake him.

Washington State Trooper Takes Hit to Stop Wrong Way Driver
The crash disabled the patrol car with a broken axle. The wrong-way car was able to drive away. It continued to Interstate 5, still going the wrong direction before it broke down.

Missouri Town Pays $2.4 Million to Family of Man Killed During DUI Arrest
The city of Moberly, Mo., has agreed to pay $2.4 million to the family of Stanley Harlan, 23, who died during a 2008 drunken driving arrest. Harlan's family sued the city and Moberly police Officers Jeremy Baird and Carmen Newbrough last September in federal court in St. Louis, claiming that police used a Taser on him twice, then kicked and choked him.
