The officer, Rusten Sheskey, returned from administrative leave in late March. He was "found to have been acting within policy and will not be subjected to discipline," according to a statement Tuesday from Kenosha Police Chief Daniel Miskinis.

District Attorney Michael Graveley said Officer Rusten Sheskey was justified in his use of deadly force. The other officers at the scene also will not be charged.

Wisconsin Officer Justified in 3 Fatal Shootings Resigns
Mensah, who has been suspended since July 15, has shot and killed three people in the line of duty in the last five years. All three of those shootings have been ruled justified self-defense by the Milwaukee County District Attorney's Office, including the most recent one in February.
