NY State Trooper Struck by Vehicle, Suffers Serious Head Injury
Gallagher parked behind two disabled vehicles with his lights flashing, Candelaria said. He began setting up flares, Candelaria said, when two oncoming vehicles veered to the right to avoid Gallagher. The driver of a third vehicle βdid not see the trooperβ and struck him, Candelaria said.

LAPD Officer Lost Leg After Being Struck by DUI Suspect on Freeway
Officer Fadi Chelico was standing on the side of the freeway during a traffic stop last Monday night when he was struck and pinned between the suspect vehicle and his police cruiser. His leg was ultimately severed.

An informant told an agent with U.S. Customs and Border Protection he knew of a βcoyoteβ that had recently smuggled a group of people across the U.S. Mexico border. Two of the people in that group identified as brothers spoke about assaulting Agent Martinez and his partner with rocks, according to the court document.

Colorado Deputy Injured, Suspect Killed in Fight
A suspect left the apartment and when the deputy tried to apprehend him, a fight began. During the fight, the deputy fired his gun, striking the suspect. The deputy suffered injuries to the head and neck.
