An officer with the Cleveland Division of Police was shot in the early morning hours on Sunday.
The officer was responding to a call for a man who had been shot. When officers arrived they were quickly met with gunfire.

The officer was still in his cruiser when he was shot multiple times in both legs, according to ABC News .
He was taken to a nearby hospital, where he is listed in stable condition.
The suspect fled the scene but was later taken into custody by Cleveland police's Gang Impact Unit, authorities said.
