A gunman dressed in what appears to be tactical gear and wielding a semi-automatic rifle opened fire Monday morning outside of the Earle Cabell Federal Building in Dallas. The active shooter was killed by federal law enforcement.
Brian Isaack Clyde, 22, reportedly fired into the courthouse building Monday morning. He exchanged gunfire with federal officers, FBI officials told WFAA.
There are no reports of officers or civilians being hit during the attack.
Clyde's Facebook page reportedly featured rants about the U.S. government — including talking about Ruby Ridge and the Branch Davidians. Clyde shared his views openly, CBS DFW reports.
In 2018, Clyde shared a picture showing him with a gun, writing, “When the yeyo deal goes south.” Yeyo is used by some people as street slang for cocaine. The term is used repeatedly in the movie "Scarface." So he could have been referencing the 1983 film.
