The Loveland (CO) Police Department recently announced that one of their female officers will be the first woman to serve as motorcycle officer.
According to the Report-Herald, Officer Kelly Amling recently became the first female LPD officer to become a motorcycle officer upon completion of her training.
Amling said that she had wanted to become a motor officer since she was a child watching the TV show "CHiPs."
Amling said. "I think you get to have a lot more community involvement" on a motorcycle than in a patrol car.
