Border Patrol Horse Killed in Duty Accident

The U.S. Border Patrol issued a statement on Facebook Wednesday saying one of its horses in the Del Rio Sector of Texas had been killed on duty.

“While on patrol near Carrizo Springs, Jayce accidentally came in contact with a downed power line. Thankfully, the rider sustained no injuries,” the Border Patrol said.

Jayce served with the Border Patrol for 11 years.
