Bridgeport police Sgt. Randy White, 32, was in his patrol car behind a parked pickup along State Highway 114 near FM2123 in Bridgeport about 3:16 p.m. when the SUV driven by Steven York slammed into the rear of the patrol car, said Amber Fogelman, a spokeswoman for the city of Bridgeport, which is about 45 miles northwest of Fort Worth.
