Man Fleeing From Texas Police Dives into Canal and Drowns

An officer reportedly dove in after the man and attempted a rescue, during which the subject struggled with the officer. The officer was able to free himself from the grasp of the subject and return safely to the shore, but the man—who has not yet been identified—was found by members of the Lewisville Fire Department some time later.
