FOX Home Entertainment Gives $10,000 Gift to NLEOMF

The National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial Fund (NLEOMF) received a $10,000 gift from FOX Home Entertainment in honor of the 20th Anniversary DVD of the "COPS" television program. The check was recently presented by "COPS" creator John Langley at the NASCAR Auto Club 500 race at California Speedway.

Nearly 10,000 Officers Killed by Gunfire

A total of 69 American law enforcement officers were shot and killed during 2007, based on preliminary information received by the National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial Fund (NLEOMF). This represents a staggering 33-percent increase over the 52 officers killed by gunfire in 2006, and the second highest total over the last decade.
