Miami Chief Offered 'Bribe' to Resign

A day after saying he was offered $400,000 to "leave quietly," Miami Police Chief Miguel Exposito now says city officials offered him a $200,000 to leave his post as top cop. Prior to a Jan. 13 commission meeting, Miami's Mayor Tomas Regalado, then City Manager Tony Crapp, and CFO Larry Spring met to discuss whether $200,000 would be enough incentive to persuade Chief Exposito to resign.

Miami Beach Cop Injures 3 During ATV Joyride

A Miami Beach Police officer who was supposed to be patrolling the beach struck two people while apparently joyriding the departmental ATV. The officer is suspected of having been intoxicated at the time and riding the vehicle on the beach with a female companion he may have picked up at an Ocean Boulevard bar.
