'Irrational' Naked Woman Shot, Killed by Off-Duty Officers

Two off-duty Florida officers shot and killed an "armed, naked and irrational" woman who confronted them at a party on Saturday.

Inga Swanson, 42, approached Tampa Police Officer William Mechler, 26, and Hernando County Sheriff's Detective Rocky Howard, 31, before returning to confront them. One of both of the officers shot Swanson, who died at the scene.

Swanson was reportedly armed with an antique pistol that holds one bullet and doesn't fire, her boyfriend David Simpson told the Daily Mail . Two men told the Tampa Bay Times they saw Swanson 10 minutes before the shooting waving a large silver cross and yelling, "Antichrist."

The Florida Department of Law Enforcement is now investigating the shooting.
