ATAC (Automated Tactical Analysis of Crime) is a software solution that helps crime analysts isolate, identify, track, and defeat crime patterns, trends, and series using an easy-to-use and powerful graphical interface. The software can produce COMPSTAT reports, identify how many officers you may need based on demand for service, and provide patrol with problem-solving analysis. ATAC can assist all levels of an organization from the line-level officer to crime analysts, investigators, and administrators. In its initial trial at a major police agency, analysts using ATAC identified 10 times as many new trends as analysts without it.
