SIG Sauer's P224 SAS DAK Pistol

The pistol arrives with a black hard coat anodized alloy frame.

Fit and finish on the SIG P224 is excellent. The pistol is not just a cutdown version of the P229. It was designed from the ground up to be a concealed carry tool for professionals.

The SIG Sauer P224 is a subcompact pistol that offers 10 rounds of .40 S&W firepower.

The pistol's caliber is laser-engraved on the ejection port.

Magazine capacity for the 9mm is 11 rounds; for the .40 S&W and the .357 SIG models it's 10 rounds.

SIG does not use screws, which can rust from body contact, to secure the plastic, textured one-piece grip to the frame of the P224 pistol.

The SIG P224 has a 3.5-inch barrel and an overall length of 6.7 inches.

Laser engravings denote the pistol's Exeter, N.H., manufacturing location.

The SIG P224 SAS (anti-snag) model features a recessed hammer.
