Maricopa County Police Women

PatrolPhotos 6

Cable network TLC returns with "Police Women of Maricopa County," following its airing in the fall of "Police Women of Broward County." The sequel is a similar reality show featuring four female deputies policing the nation's fourth-largest county (3.9 million residents) southwest of Phoenix, Ariz. These deputies work for "America's Toughest Sheriff," Joe Arpaio. Photos courtesy of TLC.

Deputy Amie Duong is described as "organized and even-keeled—qualities that serve her well as she navigates some of the more complicated domestic disputes the county has to offer." She is a single mother of two second-graders.

"Police Women of Maricopa County" features four Maricopa County Sheriff's deputies (from left to right) – Deborah Moyer, Lindsey Smith, Kelly Bocardo and Amie Duong. The show debuted Feb. 25.

As she chases illegal immigrants in the desert and busts drug dealers, Detective Lindsey Smith says she is a "self-proclaimed adrenaline junkie [who] wouldn't have it any other way." She loves being a cop as much as she loves being a single mother of two boys.

Deputy Kelly Bocardo's husband and three brothers also work for the Maricopa County Sheriff's Office. Bocardo is "feisty and tough, but brings a feminine touch to her interaction with some of the county's more colorful characters." She has a 2-year-old daughter.

Detective Deborah Moyer is a veteran with 19 years of experience with the department. Moyer is described as "never one to back away from a challenge, whether hunting down deadbeat dads or negotiating with gunmen." She is married to a fellow deputy and is the mother of two sons.
