Recovery of Federal Agent Shot 5 Times Called "Christmas Miracle"

Now, nearly three months later and less than a week before Christmas, the Aviation Enforcement Agent wants everyone to know how thankful he is to those who saved his life, those who have given him the chance to spend the holidays with his family, and those who have made it so he can soon return to his job of protecting the nation's borders from the air.

Video: Off-Duty LAPD Officer Attacked with Blunt Object, Suspect Shot

Preliminary reports from the scene were that two off-duty officers were driving in the area and stopped to confront a man outside an apartment building. At some point, the man hit one of the officers in the head with what was initially reported as a bat, prompting both officers to open fire, hitting the man in the stomach.

Sister of Fallen New Orleans Officer Joins Force

Jacquen Hunter graduated NOPD's academy Friday (Dec. 15) as part of Recruit Class No. 180, according to the department. In a video posted to the NOPD's website, Jaquen Hunter said that she felt the support of her late sister throughout the process of becoming an officer.
