Jane Castor takes over as Tampa's first female police chief, replacing retiring Chief Steve Hogue. Castor is currently the assistant chief of operations and has been with the Tampa Police Department for 25 years. Castor has held many positions in several areas of the department including patrol, narcotics, family violence and sex crimes, and criminal intelligence.
