Officer Mark Dallas received a standing ovation Sunday as he led Dixon High School students into their graduation ceremony. A 19-year-old former student brought a gun into the school and shot at a coach during graduation practice, but Dallas was able to take the shooter down as students ran for their lives, police said. St. Lucie County Sheriff Keith Pearson said on a Facebook livestream the facility was a 10,000 square-foot vehicle storage facility that was destroyed in a matter of seconds by what he called a "devastating tornado."
