The M510 Tactical Armor Vest, by Pacific Safety Products, is a six-part armor system that is intended to be worn with the V88 load carriage vest. The M510 is in use with several international military Special Force Groups and elite tactical police forces that are subject to severe threat. It provides a high degree of coverage by virtue of the multiple overlapping modular panels, all of which can be removed at the discretion of the user. The vest is fundamentally a two-panel design with generous side overlap. The front and rear panels are attached with a six-point hook and loop on 5cm webbing. The removable shoulder system is attached to the rear panel with three snaps and floats on the shoulder straps affording a high degree of mobility. The main carrier is provided with external front and rear plate pockets. Threat level is NIJ Level IIIA Plus.
