Semco, manufacturer of the COPCAM (tm), now offers the CYCLECAM (tm) for motor officers. Based upon the proven technology used in the remotely operated COPCAM, CYCLECAM allows motor officers the security an onboard video/audio system can offer. CYCLECAM has an integral 8mm video/audio recorder, installed in the left saddlebag operating up to eight hours on a self-contained battery. Depending upon the model, the camera may be installed on the frame of the motorcycle, worn on the officer's uniform or a combination of both systems.

Operation can be either manual or will start automatically whenever the emergency equipment is activated. The Sony recorder has a detachable LCD screen for playback and the black and white CYCLECAM camera is waterproof. The system can transmit up to several hundred feet depending upon conditions.
