Motorola introduces a new digital wireless communications system designed for public safety users in critical situations. Offering large regional expansion capabilities, the system brings increased potential to shared, wide-area communications with the capabilities to accommodate thousands of individual sites within a single digital system.
An example is the possibility of a voice dispatch and a station alert being carried on the same radio system infrastructure, while being relayed to a specific station on the same radio channel. The system controller still assigns the resources necessary to set up the one-to-many dispatch call.
Motorola’s future services may include the ability to receive mug shots and fingerprints in the field and access to National Crime Information Center data.
