Made from .125-inch aluminum sheet, the roof, door and sides are perforated to provide maximum ventilation. The kit is easy to install, is transferable and comes in a standard three-door design with a floor drain system, heavy-duty spring-loaded door latches, .25-inch thick rubber floor matting and dome lighting. The K-9 Kit is said to be rattle-free and is designed to reduce sharp edges for K-9 safety.
Each kit is shipped assembled on a pallet and mounting instructions and hardware are included. Available options include a vehicle-roof-mounted power exhaust vent and a removable divider for transporting two dogs. Models are currently available for the Ford Expedition and the Chevy Tahoe.
