New Jersey Officer Honored for Rescuing Trapped Motorist from Burning Vehicle

On March 5, 2025, Officer Allatt responded to a vehicle crash on State Route 22 in Bridgewater, New Jersey. Upon arrival, he encountered two vehicles that had become engulfed in flames following a rear-end collision.

The National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial Fund (NLEOMF) has named Officer Noah Allatt of the Bridgewater Township (New Jersey) Police Department as Officer of the Month for March 2025. Officer Allatt was recognized for his actions in rescuing a motorist trapped in a burning vehicle following a collision.

On March 5, 2025, Officer Allatt responded to a vehicle crash on State Route 22 in Bridgewater, New Jersey. Upon arrival, he encountered two vehicles that had become engulfed in flames following a rear-end collision. While one of the drivers and a passenger were able to exit their vehicles, the second driver was unconscious and trapped inside. Officer Allatt quickly reached into the burning vehicle, removed the unconscious driver, and dragged the individual to safety.

“Officer Allatt’s actions reflect the dedication and service that law enforcement officers demonstrate across the country,” said William Alexander, CEO of the National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial. “His willingness to act without hesitation under dangerous conditions represents the highest standard of public service that law enforcement show daily.”
