A Polk County (Florida) Sheriff's deputy got his face and arm injured after a dog attacked him while he was trying to arrest its owner.
Duke Energy employees called law enforcement after they said Tiffany Perkins, 28, was stealing utilities at her house. The employees told deputies she released her dogs at them just before 11 a.m. Tuesday, according to a Facebook post.
When the deputy arrived, Perkins spoke with him but then called 911. When he tried to arrest her, he was attacked by a Great Dane. Officials said he suffered injuries to his arm and eye.
Additional deputies responded and took her into custody, WTSP reports.
Perkins was booked into jail on numerous charges included aggravated battery, assault, resisting with violence and theft of utility services, to name a few.
