Texas Deputy Dies After On-Duty Medical Event

A deputy with the Waller County (Texas) Sheriff's Office died after an apparent medical issue while he was on duty Friday night, the sheriff's office said Saturday morning.

Deputy John “Eddie” Flemmons had served with the sheriff’s office since March 2023, KHOU reports.

"He also set the foundation for many deputies' careers as a patrol field training officer,” the sheriff’s office said on Facebook .
