A Pasco County (Florida) Sheriff’s deputy was hospitalized Friday after their vehicle overturned in floodwaters.
As of Friday the deputy was listed in critical condition, ABC Action News reports.
According to the Pasco Sheriff's Office, the deputy and an officer from the Dade City Police Department were scouting floodwaters on Friday when the vehicle they were in overturned and became submerged.
The Dade City officer escaped the vehicle while the PSO deputy was trapped inside. The deputy was rescued by the officer and civilian bystanders.
