Philadelphia Officer Wounded When Fellow Cop's Gun Discharges

One off-duty Philadelphia police officer was grazed by a bullet discharged by a fellow off-duty officer’s personal firearm that discharged inside a locker room at a police station Thursday.

A Philadelphia police officer was grazed by a bullet Thursday when a fellow officer’s firearm discharged inside a police station in the 25th District.

Police tell FOX29 that around 4:25 p.m., an off-duty officer’s personal firearm accidentally discharged inside the police station’s locker room. According to CBS Philadelphia, a police source said the firearm discharged when it was dropped.

When the round discharged, another off-duty officer was grazed in the leg.

Police reported the officer was taken to Temple Hospital and was in stable condition but was expected to be treated and released.
