WA Police Kill Armed Man, K-9 Shot in Tail
Vancouver, Washington, officers fatally shot an armed man early Monday morning. None of the four officers involved were injured but a police K-9 was shot in the tail.
When a Vancouver, Washington, officer was flagged down by people saying a man had pointed a gun at them early Monday morning, officers located the suspect nearby and shots were exchanged. The suspect was fatally wounded and a police K9 was shot in the tail.

When the suspect pointed a gun at police, four officers shot the suspect, reports FOX 13.
Officers rendered aid to the man, but he later died at a local hospital.
The officers were placed on leave while the critical incident is investigated. The Southwest Washington Independent Investigation Response Team (SWIIRT) will lead the investigation into the shooting.
The police K-9 was taken to a veterinary hospital and underwent surgery, according to police.
