Five Chicago police officers and a pedestrian were injured Thursday evening when a marked patrol unit struck an unmarked police unit in an intersection. After the impact, the marked SUV also struck another vehicle.
Following the accident, which happened around 7:15 p.m., five officers and the injured female pedestrian were taken to area hospitals.
One officer was taken to the University of Chicago Medical Center, reports ABC7. The other officers were reported to be in good condition after being taken to Holy Cross Hospital.
The civilian was reported to be in fair condition and the driver of the second vehicle struck by the marked patrol until refused treatment at the scene.
