A trooper's dashcam documents the moment a passing truck hit the vehicle he had stopped.

The Iowa State Patrol released dashcam video that shows the moment a passing truck strikes a car that had been stopped by a trooper. The trooper was talking to the driver from the passenger side at the time of the glancing impact.
The collision happened a few days ago near Coralville.
Following the impact, the trooper immediately calls on his radio to request an additional unit and then immediately returns to the car window and asks the driver “Are you okay?”
“We are thankful that Trooper Fairbanks and the two drivers involved walked away from this very avoidable crash just a few days ago. Please remember to move over and slow down for emergency vehicles,” the state patrol posted when it released the video.
