The American Society of Law Enforcement Trainers will hold its 13th International Training Seminar and Law Enforcement Expo Jan. 11-15, 2000, in Richmond, Va. Each year ASLET, which features top trainers speaking on topics ranging from legal issues to use of force, draws approximately 1,000 police professionals and industry representatives from across the country.
In the wake of the Columbine High School murders last spring and numerous other school-student shootings the past several years, POLICE magazine is assisting ASLET in presenting Mass Violence in America: The Law Enforcement Response...What Have We Learned?, an afternoon panel discussion in Richmond with tactical and other training experts from throughout the United States. It will be moderated by POLICE Executive Editor Dennis Hall and is slated Wednesday, Jan. 12, from 4-6 p.m. at the Richmond Marriott. Educators, administrators and operations staff are also encouraged to attend
