Chief Deputy Stanley L. Sniff, Jr., of the Riverside County (Calif.) Sheriff's Department, will be among those receiving awards for continued leadership in the martial arts community at the 2007 Masters Hall of Fame event on Aug. 11 in Costa Mesa, Calif. The event will be hosted by "Big John" McCarthy, longtime referee for the Ultimate Fighting Championship as well as an LAPD police officer and certified law enforcement trainer.

As the Assistant Sheriff in Riverside County, Calif., and as an Army colonel, Sniff has spent a lifetime mentoring, coaching, and leading today's warriors, using the leadership lessons gained from his martial arts training as a guide.
