A New Bedford (Mass.) police officer may have posted a picture of a crime scene showing a dead body to her Facebook page, the Boston Herald reports.
The department is now investigating whether the picture depicting an apparent overdose victim laying face down on a couch with clutter and trash surrounding the couch is authentic.
The agency did not identify the officer, but did say posting crime scene photos online violates policy.
