Seattle Police shot and killed murder suspect Maurice Clemmons this morning, Pierce County Sheriff’s spokesman Ed Troyer told The News Tribune.
Pierce County Sheriffs had supplied Seattle and other police agencies information about possible acquaintances of Clemmons, and, acting upon that information, Seattle Police contacted Clemmons in the Rainier Valley, Troyer said.
The acquaintances apparently were former prisoners.
Troyer, speaking at about 3:30 a.m., was on his way to meet with Seattle Police. He said the shooting happened about roughly 30 to 45 minutes earlier.
