Rookie Seattle officer Britt Sweeney is ready to return to patrol duties after watching the fatal shooting of her partner during a Halloween ambush, the Seattle Times reports.
Sweeney, 33, told the newspaper it would be a disservice to her partner if she didn't return to patrol to "fight the fight." Sweeney, just two months out of the academy, was grazed by a bullet and Timothy Brenton was killed while the two officers sat in their patrol car reviewing a vehicle stop on Halloween.
