Proceeds From Wiley X Lacey Sales Benefit Breast Cancer Research

The company plans to raise at least $10,000 this year for the foundation. To commemorate the initiative, each pair of Wiley X Lacey eye wear has a special BCRF Pink Ribbon cling sticker on the lens.

Proceeds from the sale of each pink Cotton Candy frame Wiley X Lacey eye wear is being donated to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation (BCRF), Wiley X has announced.

Since January, Wiley X has been donating $2.50 from the sale of each non-polarized pair and $3.50 from each polarized pair to the foundation.

The company plans to raise at least $10,000 this year for the foundation. To commemorate the initiative, each pair of Wiley X Lacey eye wear has a special BCRF Pink Ribbon cling sticker on the lens.

"When we started this program in partnership with BCRF, we were humbly grateful for the chance to play a role in the critical battle against this deadly disease," according to Myles Freeman, Wiley X's president of sales. "The excitement generated about the program thus far is so encouraging, and we look forward to sharing the message of hope and support throughout the rest of the year."

The Wiley X Lacey line is certified as Occupational Eye Protection; each SKU meets ANSI Z87 safety specifications, according to the company.

The Breast Cancer Research Foundation was founded in 1993 by Evelyn H. Lauder as an independent, not-for-profit organization dedicated to funding innovative clinical and translational research. In October 2009, BCRF awarded nearly $28.5 million to 173 scientists across the United States, Canada, Latin America, Europe, the Middle East, and Australia.  Last year, more than 88 cents of each dollar donated to the Foundation went directly to breast cancer research and awareness programs.
