Anchorage Officer Radioed for Help After Vehicle-Stop Shooting

A 13-year Anchorage (Alaska) police officer was able to radio for help after a driver she pulled over shot her multiple times as she walked toward the vehicle, SeattlePI.com reports.

The officer, who has not been identified, was able to give additional information to other officers at the scene and at the hospital where she is now being treated.

The officer pulled over a vehicle at 3:15 a.m. Wednesday. After shots were fired, the vehicle took off and was later found abandoned. Officers including SWAT are now searching for the suspect.
