While executing a search warrant earlier this week, Chicago police confiscated heroin, drug paraphernelia, ammunition, body armor, a Glock handgun that had been converted to a rifle and a military SAKO sniper rifle, according to the agency.
Officers arrested Fermin Domingo, 37, during the raid in the Edison Park neighborhood at a house that was three blocks from a preschool, the Sun-Times reports.
Domingo is charged with two counts of manufacture/delivery of a controlled substance, two counts of possession of a firearm without a valid FOID card and one count of possession of ammunition without a valid FOID card.
Police also recovered 21.4 grams of heroin with an estimated street value of $3,200, scales and packaging for narcotics sales, $1,140 in cash and a money counter.
