Prosecutors planned to play 13 minutes of audio recorded by an undercover Houston police officer who was shot and killed during a 2009 sting operation.

Henry Canales recorded the audio using a wristwatch microphone during an operation to sell $35,000 of electronics to a group that included two illegal aliens now on trial as accomplices in the shooting. A third suspect was shot by Canales in a gunfight.
