A Madison County (Ala.) Sheriff's deputy returns to work today, after an internal investigation cleared him in a deadly force incident a week ago, when a suspected meth cooker attempted to grab the deputy's gun, the Jackson Sun reports.

Kyle Singleton had feared for his life when he used deadly force on Daniel Dickerson, 40, who had fled into a wooded area before struggling with the deputy over his gun.
