Streamlight's Waypoint Spotlight Ideal for Low-Light Situations
The Waypoint uses a C4 power LED to provide a light output of 210 lumens and 115,000 candela peak beam intensity on the high setting, over a range of 678 meters.

Streamlight Inc.'s Waypoint, a handheld, pistol-grip searchlight designed to provide extremely bright lighting for a wide variety of low lighting applications is now available, according to the company.
The Waypoint uses a C4 power LED to provide a light output of 210 lumens and 115,000 candela peak beam intensity on the high setting, over a range of 678 meters. Featuring a housing constructed of high-impact polycarbonate, it includes an integrated stand so it can be set up for stationary scene lighting, and provides three lighting settings, including high, low and strobe modes.
"The Waypoint is an excellent choice for a variety of uses, including search and rescue operations, scene lighting at accidents, tracking game, illuminating outdoor utilities that need repair, as a search light for boaters or as a stationary light around the campsite," said Ray Sharrah, Streamlight's president. "Whether used as a hand-held mobile searchlight in active situations or set up as stationary lighting to illuminate a scene, the Waypoint is a highly effective tool for those who need a rugged and powerful lighting option."
The Waypoint, when powered by four "C" alkaline batteries, delivers 8.5 hours of runtime on the high setting, and 120 hours on both low as well as the strobe setting. The light provides an unlimited run time when using an included 12-volt DC power cord. The light's C4 LED is impervious to shock and features a 50,000 hour lifetime.
The Waypoint's deep-dish parabolic reflector produces a long-range targeting beam while also optimizing peripheral illumination. The light has a cushioned handle grip, as well as a wrist lanyard.
The new spotlight weighs 1.8 pounds and measures 6.75 inches long by 7.14 inches high. The Waypoint features an IPX4 rated design for water-resistant operation and has been impact resistance tested to 1 meter. The Waypoint also conforms to the ANSI/NEMA FL-1 Flashlight Standard. It is available in black and yellow and comes with Streamlight's limited lifetime warranty. Suggested retail for the Waypoint is $100.
