A suspect wanted in the stabbing deaths of victims in three states was apprehended by Atlanta police officers, after answering a page while waiting to board a flight to Israel late Wednesday, the AJC.com reports.
Elias Abu Elazam answered a page at the Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport, where Atlanta officers took him into custody without incident. The Michigan State Police had tipped off the department that he would be at the airport.
Michigan, Ohio, and Virginia law enforcement officials have been looking for a suspect since mid-May in a series of apparently random stabbing incidents. Elazam had last worked at a party supply store.
