The Los Angeles Police Department has been inundated with e-mails and phone calls from the public providing leads, after the agency release some 160 photos of women connected to suspected serial killer Lonnie Franklin Jr., reports the Los Angeles Times.
Franklin, who has been dubbed the "Grim Sleeper," was arrested in July and is suspected of killing 10 women in South L.A. After arresting Franklin, police found some 1,000 photos and hundreds of hours of video of women in a trailer and garage on his property.
After the LAPD released the photos, Franklin's attorney Louisa Pensanti complained that the photos were not part of discovery, and that several of the women were Franklin's family of friends.
