A DeKalb County, Ga., sheriff's deputy shot while serving a warrant was in stable condition Monday morning following surgery at Grady Memorial Hospital, officials said.

Meanwhile, his alleged shooter has been discharged from Grady and transported to DeKalb County Jail, a sheriff's spokeswoman said.
