Armed High School Student Holding Class Hostage In Wisconsin

The situation unfolded during a 6th period Western Civilization class at Marinette High School that began between 1:30 and 2 p.m. local time. Shots reportedly were fired.

UPDATE: All hostages have been released at the Marinette High School, according to the Marinette County Sheriff's Department, as of approximately 8:15 p.m. It is not known what the condition is of the gunman, who is reportedly a male student at the school, reports the Marinette Eagle Herald.

An armed student is holding a classroom of students hostage at a high school in Marinette, Wisc., according to several reports.

The situation unfolded during a 6th period Western Civilization class at Marinette High School that began between 1:30 and 2 p.m. local time. Shots reportedly were fired, reports the Marinette Eagle Herald.

No injuries have been reported.
