A circus performer has filed a $3 million lawsuit against the city of New York, claiming his constitutional rights were violated when a cop wrote him a ticket for ridign on a Brooklyn sidewalk, reports the New York Daily News.
The claim of Kyle Peterson, 26, may gain traction because it quotes the New York administrative code prohibiting bicycle riding on sidewalks as pertaining to a "two- or three-wheeled device."
Peterson was pulled over at 3 a.m. Dec. 4, 2007. He claims the cops also taunted him for riding the unicycle and at one point "began singing circus music" at him, the suit says.
