Investigators believe Tuesday's firing of six rounds at the Pentagon in D.C. was likely a random shooting, reports CNN.
Six higher-powered rifle rounds struck the Pentagon just before 5 a.m. Tuesday. Fragments of two of the rounds penetrated but didn't shatter windows. The shots were heard by an officer with the Pentagon Force Protection Agency.
Rounds struck windows on the third and fourth floor of the building, according to the report. Here's a news video of the briefing from the agency:
