A convicted murderer who testified that he'd like to kill all the members of the jury received a recommended death sentence from those same 12 people, reports the Times-Picayune.
The Jefferson Parish jury recommended that Isaiah Doyle, 28, die by lethal injection for the 2005 murder of Hwa Lee, 26, who complied with his command to give him the cash in the register of her parents' convenience store.
Doyle told Jefferson Parish Sheriff's investigators his firing of four .45-caliber rounds at Lee was a mistake. After the jury convicted him of first-degree murder, he said the only reason he didn't fire more rounds was because his gun jammed.
In other testimony, he pointed at a juror and said, "I wish I could cut his head off." He also said, "If I had an AK-47, I'd kill every last one of you."
