Contra Costa County Sheriff's Deputy Stephen Tanabe had talked about making drunk-driving arrests to ensure the subjects were "dirtied" before future court dates, according to a search affidavit and the report.

A Contra Costa County (Calif.) Sheriff's deputy who allegedly arranged three prearranged arrests with a private investigator ("dirty DUIs") has resigned, reports the San Francisco Chronicle.

Deputy Stephen Tanabe had talked about making drunk-driving arrests to ensure the subjects were "dirtied" before future court dates, according to a search affidavit and the report.
